For people wishing to explore and be very active along with relaxation, this is a combined experience to witness many important attractions.
Built between 545 and 565BC, the magnificent 6th century sacred Saint Catherine’s Monastery on the Sinai peninsular is a wonder of religious historical buildings. Located at the base of Mount Sinai (known as Moses Mountain), and close to the town of St Catherine, the walled monastery is a work of art.
It is a Unesco world heritage site with an abundance of pilgrim visitors seeking Christian religious sites worldwide. The monastery was named after Catherine of Alexander and is a Greek Orthodox church and is also the oldest working monastery in the world.
The monastery hosts an array of rooms and places of interest including its own ancient library, beautiful displays of art, along with other fascinating historical facts from the past.
Passing through the pretty town of Dahab surrounded by stunning mountain views is a plus on this relaxing and informative day out in ancient Egypt.
The most exciting biblical exploration of the Moses Mountain on the Sinai peninsular. At the very top of this breathtaking mountain, was the place that it was said Moses stood and was given the ten commandments from God while he looked across at the promised land.
This holy place and Moses is mentioned not only in the Bible, but mentioned also in the Torah and the Qur’an. The best time to experience the incredible views and feel the importance of this historical mountain is to witness the sunrise to capture everything that it stands for.  Be prepared to get some sleep during the afternoon and early evening in order to fulfil this epic adventure.  The average climb can take anywhere between 2 to 3 hours to reach the summit at a height of Mount Sinai, 2,285 metres and approximately 750 steps with a much quicker descent returning to base.
Sharm El Sheik is known for its upmarket modern resorts and hotels with beautiful beaches, scenery and diving activities wit close by coral islands. A perfect place for relaxation whilst enjoying the sunny climate, shopping, restaurants and more.
