Mystical Oman Shore Excursion from Muscat Port
Meet our Guide by 09 am from Muscat Port and Your Muscat Shore Excursion will begin with driving through the beautiful embassy quarter of Muscat. Your first stop will be the most popular landmark in the city ‘Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque’. The standout tourist attraction in the city with its grand stature and mystified history. The Grand mosque dominates the Muscat skyline and the mosque used to have some world records before UAE and Qatar made bigger ones.

The impressive mosque had the biggest hand-crafted carpet and biggest chandelier. The mosque library houses more than 20,000 books and it is an impressive sight although you may not get to read them.

Drive to Muttrah, One of the most ancient and historically significant cities in Oman. The vibrant town of Muttrah is a popular tourist hub with many attractions. Visit Muttrah Fish Market with a wide variety of fish and marine products sold here daily. Tourist flock to the market to experience this vibrant atmosphere of fish trading. You will then drive through Muttrah Roundabout which features a wonderful sculpture of two fish amid a fine fountain. You will stop at Muttrah Corniche for some photos, admire the merchant houses which still holds the traditional look of the town. You will be guided to the Old Muttrah Souk (Al Dhalam Souq) one of the oldest marketplaces in the Arab world. You will experience the day to trading activities where most of the goods sold here are imported from neighbouring countries and local products like textiles, fruit, vegetables, and dates are traded on a day to day basis. The market has been redecorated elevate the shopping experience for tourists as well as other ordinary shoppers.

Walk towards the old town where you will see Portuguese forts Jalali and Mirani, You will then stop at Qasr Al Alam, the Palace of HM Sultan Qaboos. It was used as a ceremonial palace by the late Sultan Qaboos.

Your final stop will be Bait Al Zubair Museum, The museum founded by the Zubair family and opened to the public in the year 1998. The museum houses the largest heritage and permanent art collections in the country. The Museum has been the main learning source and a window into Oman’s rich heritage and culture.

With the visit of Bait Al Zubair, your shore excursion will come to an end and you will be transferred back to Muscat Port.
