Overview

A wonderful opportunity for an overnight tour to Cairo, to the ancient civilization of the Pharaohs.  This bustling and historical City has so much to offer from Unesco Heritage sites, colourful bazars and modern structures built around the mighty River Nile.

A visit to the 3 magnificent ancient Pyramids of the Giza plateau  known as Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos, Cheops being the largest pyramid in the world. The architecture is a work of art and took around 20 years to complete with the task of transporting the limestone all the way along the Nile from the quarries of Upper Egypt.

You will visit the Great Sphinx of Giza, said to have the head of Pharoah King Khrafre and the body of a lion with its huge paws and sits protecting the 3 Pyramids of Giza. Made from limestone, it is considered the oldest sphinx in existence.

A Visit to the step pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara in the old City Of Memphis and built by the ambitious the first king of the Third Dynasty of Egypt – Djoser. It is the oldest and first built stone Pyramid in Egypt before the Pyramids of Giza. The Valley Temple next to the Pyramids said to have contained mummified bodies awaiting burial.
One of the most spectacular views will be the visit to the Citadel of Salah-El Din, perched at one of the highest points of Cairo overlooking Old Cairo with the view of the Pyramids on a clear day. Built in Turkish design during the Ottoman Empire and strikingly similar to the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. It hosts the ornate Mohamed Ali Mosque with a beautiful interior.
You will also visit the oldest Museum in the Middle East, that of the famous Egyptian Museum of Cairo.  The museum displays an enormous collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts ranging from Pharaonic times to collections spanning from the Predynastic Period to the Greco-Roman Era.
