Join our Shore Excursion from Port Said to explore the best of ancient Cairo and experience Old  Alexandria City founded in 331 BC by Alexander the Great. This overnight trip to Cairo from Port Said is your chance to see Egypt’s most popular and awe inspiring ancient Monuments. Visit Giza Pyramids and The Great Sphinx monument. Explore Pharaonic Egypt by visiting the Egyptian Museum which houses an enormous collection of artefacts, mummies, coffins and precious stones. Explore the most famous city in the ancient world, the city of Alexander the Great which was the centre of learning and, once, the largest and most prosperous city in the world. Explore the greatest roman ruins such as the Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa and the historical Pompey Pillar. Included is a visit the Fortress of Qaitbay, built in a strategic location to in order to ward off approaching enemies. The modern Bibliotheca of Alexandria is also a must see visit due to its size and historic history.

Day 01: Ancient Cairo Tour – Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum

Our guide will meet and greet you by the cruise exit door at Port Said with a sign showing your names. After this you will be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle to the ancient city of Cairo. Your day tour will start with a visit to the stunning 3 Pyramids of Giza, that of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. Then a visit to the Great Sphinx, a gigantic limestone statue of the mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a Pharaoh. Next will be the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren.
An unforgettable experience with a tour of the famous Pharaonic era of Egypt at the famous Egyptian Museum which houses the largest collection of more than 2,50,000 ancient Egyptian artefacts. Amongst its most popular exhibits among the artefacts are the treasure of the boy king Tutankhamun. His collections include the beautiful ornate gold death mask and sarcophagus and much more. A delicious lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo with the rest of the day free to explore the city on your own.
Or you may choose to book our optional dinner cruise for two hours on the Nile or the Sound and Light show at Giza Pyramid. Overnight will be in a Cairo Hotel.

Day 02: Alexandria Sightseeing Tour and Drop off at Alexandria Port

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Cairo before meeting your guide. He/She will be accompanying you to the old capital city of Alexandria founded by Alexander the Great. Your city tour will start with a stop at the extraordinary ancient Roman Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa which date back to the early Roman period. These catacombs were used to intern the dead for over 200 years. The architecture and traditions were influenced by Egyptian, Greek and Roman styles. Today the Catacombs standout as evidence of an age when three cultures, three arts, and three religions co-existed on Egyptian Soil.
Next, you will be guided to Citadel of Qayetbay, located on the entrance to Alexandria's eastern harbour. Built-in the 14th century to defend the city from the advances of the immense Ottoman Empire.
On to the Alexandria Library which once was the centre of learning in the ancient world and lost in time yet recreated to modern-day architecture and learning. Visit the modern-day Alexandria Library interior before a stop for lunch after which you will be transferred back to Port Said Port for your final departure.

What i need to know?
Children aged 0-5.99 will be free of charge and 6 - 11.99 ages will pay 50 % of the tour cost. The above 12 years will be considered as adults and adult rates applicable.

If canceled before 48 hours no cancellation fees will be charged and Charges will be applicable for any cancellation charged with 48 hours of the tour date.
