The Valley of the Kings located on the West Bank of the Nile is absolutely fascinating with a vast array of tombs scattered across a large area surrounded by sandstone hills. Amongst the 62 tombs discovered are several which are available to enter.
On the Nile East Bank next to Luxor City are the two Temples of Karnak and Luxor which never ceases to amaze it visitors. The two temples were under construction by several Pharaohs during their reign and are highly significant of the history of the New Kingdom.
